Beta Privacy Notice
This notice explains the information Join My Party handles for its public preview, early-access list, and account-based beta. It also explains which information other Players can see and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account information includes your email address, identity-provider identifiers, sign-in and security state, and versioned agreement records. Your Player Card may include a display name, broad age range, city and state, approximate search area, optional image, bio, interests, skills, availability, accessibility preferences, and social or activity preferences. Product activity may include Parties, recruitment, Quests, invitations, attendance, messages, notifications, blocks, reports, private feedback, account choices, and support requests.
Technical and early-access information
We process request identifiers, service logs, error details, compact product events, browser or device information, and security signals needed to operate and protect the service. The early-access form also records email, audience path, city or area, activity category, optional organization, consent, referral source, and limited campaign attribution. Product analytics excludes private message bodies, report narratives, and free-text profile content.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; build Player Cards; support discovery, matching, Parties, Quests, and Whispers; send necessary service notices; provide support; investigate safety reports; enforce platform rules; measure whether the beta is useful; improve reliability; plan launch-market supply; and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or sell better organic matching, visibility, or safety outcomes.
What other Players can see
Information marked for discovery may be shown to other Players, including your display name, general location, Player Card signals, Party membership or host context, and public Party or Quest details. Whispers, blocks, private feedback, account identifiers, support records, and report authorship are not public. Party or Quest participants may see the coordination information needed for that shared activity.
Service providers and required disclosure
Clerk provides account authentication, Vercel hosts the application, and Neon provides managed database storage. Approved email, monitoring, media, and payment providers process only the information needed when those services are activated. We may disclose limited information when required by law, to protect a person or the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Retention and account choices
The Account Portal provides profile correction, optional email preferences, a portable export request, and account deletion with a displayed recovery period. Some safety, fraud, transaction, audit, backup, or legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary. Inactive early-access leads are reviewed after 12 months and deleted or anonymized unless an active relationship or legal need requires retention.
Security, age, and your choices
We use access controls, managed infrastructure, restricted operator tools, and audit records to reduce risk, but no system can guarantee absolute security. The beta is intended only for adults age 18 or older and is not designed to collect children's information. Avoid sharing precise home locations or sensitive information in profiles and messages. Marketing mail includes an opt-out path; essential security, safety, moderation, and account notices cannot be disabled while the related account activity remains open.
Questions and changes
Contact privacy@joinmyparty.gg to request access, correction, deletion, or help with a privacy choice. Material changes to this notice receive a new policy version and require a new acknowledgement before protected beta use continues.
